  It's a newly discovered comet by the survey of Siding Spring Observatory in Australia on Jun 4, 2006. It's predicted that the comet will be observed with 9th or 10th magnitude from Oct to Dec of the year.

  It's a new comet found in an observing device of the SOHO satellite on Jun20, 2006. The comet started to be observed in lower northwest evening skies from Oct 2006, and had a outbust on Oct 24, brighten up from 7th to 4th magnitude.

  Comet Faye is a historical periodic comet discovered in 1843 return in every 7.55 years. This time is the 22nd return from its discovery. The comet brightened up about 8th magnitude in autumn and winter of 2006.

Comet Barnard 2 (177P/ Barnard 2)

  It's a comet detected by LINEAR team on Jun 23, 2006. It becomes clear that the comet is the first return of the comet Barnard 2 discovered in 1889, and assigned the number of periodic comet. In Autumn of 2006, the comet was observed with a brightness of 8th magnitude, 4 or 5th magnitude brighter than that of the prediction.

Comet Pojmanski (C/2006A1 Pojmanski)

  A new comet discovered in flame of ASAS project of the Las Campanas observatory in Chile on Jan 1, 2006. The comet could be observed at Japan from end of Feb in lower southeast dawn skies, and has a 5th magnitude coma and a long ion tail in early of Mar.

Comet Schwassmann-Wachmann 3 (73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 3)

  A small comet with a period of 5.3 years discovered in 1930. The coma divided in 1995, the comet has three major components of C(main coma), B and E. The comet was being a naked eye comet in May 2006 close to the Earth about 11 millions kilometers.

Comet Giacobini-Zinner (21P/ Giacobini-Zinner)

  One of short-period comet with 6.62 years discovered on 1900. This is 16th return since its discovery, the comet was observed with a brightness of about 10th magnitude in July 2005.

Comet Tempel 1 (9P/ Tempel1)

  It's a typical short-periodic comet with its period of 5.5 years, brightened up to about 9th magnitude in July 2005. NASA launched a space craft of "Deep-impact" and hit a small impactor module against the necleus of comet successfully on July 4, 2005.

Comet Schwassmann-Wachmann 1 (29P/Schwassmann-Wachmann1)

  A 14.7 years periodical comet discovered in 1927. Its orbit is almost round just outer of Jupiter, this return is five times from its discovery. And the comet is known that has frequent outbursts, observed with 11th mag., about 2nd mag. brighter than that of prediction in Oct 2004.

  This is a new comet discovered in the constellation of Cygnus by Lincoln Laboratory Near Earth Asteroid Research (LINEAR) on May 28, 2003. The comet is observed in evening west sky in summer of 2004 with a brightness of 6th or 7th magnitude.

  This is a comet discovered by NEAT (Near-Earth Asteroids Tracking program) team, in NASA, on Aug 24, 2001. The comet was positioned beyond the orbit of Saturn when discovered. It's the most distant record of comet's discovery. We can appreciate the comet with a splendid appearance in western evening sky in May 2004.

Comet Bradfield (C/2004F4 Bradfield)

  A new comet discovered by a famous Australian comet seeker Mr. W.A.Bradfield on Mar 23, 2004. He found the comet out in lower western sky in evening, and the comet passed the sun and moved to northeastern dawn sky in April. And in end of Apr 2004, we could appreciate it with a splendid tail over 10 degrees in length.

Comet Encke (2P/ Encke)

  Comet Encke is one of periodic comets with the shortest period of only 3.3 years, and there are appearance records since 1786. In this return the comet traveled from Andromeda to Cygnus, we could observe with a brightness of 7th magnitude or so.

Comet NEAT (C/2002V1 NEAT)

  This is a new comet discovered by NEAT (Near-Earth Asteroids Tracking program) team, in NASA, on Nov 6, 2002. The comet has an orbit close to the sun about 0.1AU in Feb 2003, we could observe as a naked-eye comet from the end of Jan to Feb, 2003.

Comet Kudo-Fujikawa (C/2002X5 Kudo-Fujikawa)

  It's a new comet discovered by two Japanese comet-seekers of Mr. Tetsuo Kudo in Kumamoto and Mr. Shigehisa Fujikawa in Kagawa on Dec 14 & 15, 2002. The comet traveled from Bootes to Serpens, and became a naked eye comet in January 2003.

Comet Ikeya-Zhang (C/2002C1 Ikeya-Zhang)

  It's a new comet discovered by two comet-seekers of Mr. Kaoru Ikeya in Shizuoka, Japan and Mr. Zhang in China on Feb 1, 2002. And Mr. Ikeya is well known as a discoverer of comet Ikeya-Seki, one of greatest comets in 20th century.
  Comet Ikeya-Zhang was observed as a naked-eye comet in March and April, 2002. And it's pointed out that the comet may be recurrence of 17th century's comet observed in 1661.
