The comet Machholtz of my first shot was positioned at south of Lepus, in the region of Columba. The comet has a visual brightness of about 8th magnitude and a coma with a diameter of about 5 arc minutes. Although it was fairly indistinct because of lower altitude, I could recognize its short tail stretched toward west.
