Optical: TAKAHASHI 12.5cm(4.9") fluorite refractor (f=1000mm, F8.0)
Auto-guided with VIXEN ATLUX Equatorial & Meade Pictor 201XT
Digital Camera: Fujifilm FinePix S2 Pro
Location: Ooizumi, Hokuto city, Yamanashi pref.

Camera Settings: Recording Format...12bit CCD-RAW, converted to 16bit TIFF(3024×2016)
CCD Sensitivity...ISO1600, White Balance...Auto



The Comet 2006M4 SWAN has in that day has been positioned about 4 degrees west of Altair. The comet has a brightness of about 8th or 9th magnitude, fairly dimmed from its outburst in last month. But it can be observed under good condition in higher western evening skies. This picture shows you a fan-like dust tail stretched in north direction with its length of 10 arc minutes or so.
