Comet Machholz in this day has a brightness of about 7th magnitude and its ion tail stretched northwest looks clearer day by day. An emphasized image of second picture shows you that the ion tail curves a bit.
The comet has almost remained at south of Lepus for the last month, but will start to move toward north rapidly from the day on. We will be able to observe and enjoy the comet under better condition at northern hemisphere.
