This page shows you snaps of comet Machholz in end of year 2004. The comet has positioned in southwest region of Taurus, having a coma with a brightness of 3rd magnitude or so. The ion tail is stretched to northeast direction with a length of over 3 degrees. You can see the tail with several thin stripes being intertwined.
