The ancient Northern Hemisphere constellation of Auriga is seen around the zenith in winter skies and that is characterized by its shape of distorted pentagon.
The constellation is also featuring one of the brightest stars in the heavens: Capella, the star is positioned at the most north in the bright stars over first magnitude. Capella means "small goat", comes from that the star marks the heart of goat that is held in one hand of Auriga.
Auriga is bathed in winter milky way, and includes several attractive nebulae and star clusters.
