IC2149 is a small planetary nebula located 1.2 degrees NNW of β Aurigae. It has an elliptical shape flattened in the east-west direction, with a major axis of approximately 34 arcseconds. Due to its extremely small size, capturing detailed internal structures is challenging, but it can just barely be observed that the eastern side has a slight reddish hue. The nebula is located 3580 light-years away, and its actual size is estimated to be around 0.6 light-years at its largest extent.
