vdB29 is a small-scaled reflection nebula in Taurus found near a border to Auriga. The nebula has a span of about 10 arc minutes, is reflecting a bluish light of central 7th magnitude star. And you can find another reflection nebula of vdB31 in the southern edge of Auriga, at 2.5 degrees south of iota Aur. The nebula is about two degrees apart from vdB29, emitting bluish light by reflecting light of a 7th magnitude central variable star of AB Aurigae. The nebula has a span of about 8 arc minutes in east-west direction, and you can see plural lumps of dark nebula paralleled in east-west direction just north of vdB31. They have been named as B28, B27 and B26 from east to west. Nebulae in this flame show us extreme part of the Taurus molecular cloud distributing from Taurus to Auriga vicinity.
