This small emission nebula is located in the central part of the constellation Vulpecula, about 5 degrees east of Albireo in Cygnus. It has an apparent diameter of just under 2 arc minutes and is a little-known celestial object. In this image, it can barely be seen that dark nebulae partially obscure the red Hα nebula, giving it an overall crescent shape. The distance from the Solar System to Sh2-93 is estimated to be around 12,000 light-years.
