This image shows a medium-scaled spiral galaxy of NGC5585 positioned at the eastern edge of Ursa Major, about 4 degrees northeast of M101, the Pinwheel Galaxy. The galaxy has the indistinct structure of arms, the long axis and the brightness of a bit longer than 6 arc minutes and about 11th magnitude, respectively. NGC5585 is a member of the M101 group, about 20 million light years away.
