This image captures two small galaxies located in the eastern part of Canes Venatici, 10.4 degrees east of Cor Caroli. The galaxy on the right (west) is NGC5311, while the one on the left (east) is NGC5313. Both are classified as spiral galaxies with indistinct structures. They are floating approximately 120 million light-years away from the Milky Way. There has been speculation about their connection to Hickson Compact Group (HCG) 68, a compact galaxy group located 50 arcminutes northeast outside the frame, but this relationship remains unclear.
