This is a medium-sized spiral galaxy located in the eastern part of Canes Venatici, 10.4 degrees ENE of Cor Caroli. It has a size of just over 5 arcminutes in the north-south direction and a brightness of 12.8th magnitude. Although its structure appears indistinct in this image, the galaxy is classified as a Seyfert galaxy with an active central nucleus. NGC5320 is believed to form a small galaxy group with NGC5371, which is located 1.4 degrees southeast. The distance to NGC5320 from the Milky Way is estimated to be 135 million light-years.
