The small reflection nebula known as vdB98 is observed in the western part of Puppis. To locate it, one can trace a path approximately 6.4 degrees ENE from δ Canis Majoris in the neighboring constellation. The nebula spans about 10 arc minutes and reflects the light from a central 7th magnitude star.
