NGC6642 is a small globular cluster lying only a degree northwest M22, a splendid globular cluster in Sagittarius. NGC6642 has a size of about only 6 arc minutes, not a major object in this star field. The constellation of Sagittarius has includes the center of Galaxy, uncountable globular clusters have distributed in it.
