NGC6712 is a medium-scaled globular cluster positioned at 4 degrees east of alpha Sct. The cluster has a visual diameter of about 10 arc minutes. The concentration is not so dense, we can resolve the outer stars with medium-ranged scopes. The distance from the solar system is about 22 thousand light years.
