NGC6293 is a compact globular cluster positioned at 3 degrees southwest of theta Oph. The cluster has a visual brightness of 8th magnitude and an apparent diameter of about a bit larger than 8 arc minutes. You can find a major globular cluster of M19 at 2 degrees west of the cluster.
