NGC5023 is a medium-scaled edge-on galaxy positioned at 6.4 degrees NNE from α CVn (Cor Caroli). The galaxy has been classified as a spiral with an undeveloped central bulge. We need a comparatively larger telescope to observe with our eyes because the galaxy looks dimmed with a brightness of 13th magnitude and a length of 6.7 arc minutes. The galaxy is floating at 26 million light years away and forming a small-scaled galaxy group with surrounding members.
