NGC4365 is a medium-scaled elliptic galaxy positioned at southern region of the Virgo cluster.
The galaxy has a long axis of a bit smaller than 7 arc minutes and about 60 million light years away, lying at about 1.5 degrees southwest from a striking member elliptic galaxy of M49.
You can see several compact member galaxies distributed around NGC4365.
