This image captures galaxies located about 4 degrees SSW of κ Draconis, near the tip of the tail of Draco. NGC4210 and NGC4221 are barred spiral galaxies about 2 arcminutes in size, while NGC4256 is an edge-on, spindle-shaped galaxy with a major-axis diameter of 4.5 arcminutes. Together with several other tiny galaxies in the field, these three form the NGC4256 galaxy group, whose distance is estimated to be roughly 100 million light-years.
