This is a medium-sized spiral galaxy located approximately 3.7 degrees northeast of χ Ursae Majoris. It spans a length of 5.4 arc minutes in the north-south direction. It exhibits a morphology where the outer regions surround the galaxy in a ring-like fashion, and its brightness is approximately 12th magnitude. Belonging to the Ursa Major Southern galaxy group, it is situated at a distance of 65 million light-years.
