This image captured medium-scaled galaxies and a galaxy cluster floating at 3 degrees WNW from gamma Uma (Phecda) which forms the Big Dipper. Both of NGC3733 and NGC3756 are spiral galaxies with long axes of a bit longer than 4 arc minutes and brightnesses of 12th class magnitude. They are members of the Ursa Major North Group, floating around 50 to 70 million light years away. You can see another irregular galaxy of NGC3738 between them.
In the northern part of image, a galaxy cluster of Abell 1318 is lying just east of NGC3733. Almost member galaxies seem tiny rice grains except comparatively striking ones of NGC3737 or NGC3759. The cluster contains about 50 galaxies in a span of 26 arc minutes. The distance has been estimated as approximately 787 million light years.
