NGC3596 is a small spiral galaxy positioned at 40 arc minutes south of theta Leo. The galaxy has an apparent diameter of about 4 arc minutes and a brightness of about 12th magnitude. You can detect dimmed arms are wound around inner bright spiral structures. A distance to the galaxy has been estimated about 75 millions light years.
