NGC 3593 is a spiral galaxy located just 1.1 degrees WSW of M65 in the hind legs of Leo.
It has an elliptical shape extending over 5 arcminutes east to west, and small dark lanes can be observed within it.
The galaxy is about 44 million light-years from the Milky Way Galaxy and belongs to the Leo I Galaxy Group.
Just to the north of NGC 3593, an extremely fine, grainy distribution of galaxies can be seen.
Although unrelated to NGC 3593, this region overlaps with a distant galaxy cluster Abell 1209.
This cluster is located 1.35 billion light-years away and contains over 50 galaxies.
