NGC3226 and NGC3227 is a closing pair of galaxies positioned at 50 arc minutes east of gamma Leonis, forming the root of Lion's neck. A larger one of NGC3227 is a bared galaxy with a size of about 5 arc minutes, and another one of NGC3226 is a tiny elliptical with 3 arc minutes in diameter. You can detect somehow inconspicuous arms of NGC3227 in this picture, but only dimmed two lumps of light snuggling up in field of view of larger telescopes.
