A medium sized galaxy about 3 degrees south from gamma Leo has a number of NGC3239. The galaxy has been classified as an irregular, has a long axis and brightness of about 5 arc minutes and 11th magnitude respectively. And the galaxy has a unique shape with a horn-like structure in south. NGC3239 has belonged to a galaxy group with M95 or M96 lying about 30 or 40 millions light years away.
