NGC2146 is a small galaxy in northern region of Camelopardalis.
The galaxy has a long axis of 5 arc minutes and a visual brightness of about 11th magnitude, and positioned at 78 degrees in declination, we can observe all the year round.
The galaxy has been classified in bared galaxy but has a bit warped shape.
It's considered that the galaxy has been affected by gravitational interaction of surrounding minor group of galaxies.
A dimmed companion galaxy in upper left hand side, an elongation from NGC2146 is about 20 arc minutes, has a number of NGC2146A.
