NGC2090 is a spiral galaxy located approximately 1.5 degrees east of α Columbae (Phact). It has a size of 6 arc minutes in the north-south direction, and its apparent brightness is around 12th magnitude. The spiral structure is indistinct, giving it an appearance similar to an elliptical galaxy. The estimated distance is approximately 40 million light years.
