LBN 837 is a faint reflection nebula located 1 degree southeast of ζ Tauri, at the eastern edge of Taurus. ζ Tauri lies just outside the upper right of the field, and the streak of light visible near the center of the image is a ghost caused by the star.
LBN 837 itself is the small, whitish nebula about 3 arcminutes in size seen near the center of the frame. In fact, extremely faint molecular clouds can be seen extending throughout the surrounding region as well.
