Objects around LBN777, B207
|
This image captures a cluster of nebulae distributed within the vast Taurus Molecular Cloud, located 4.5 degrees northeast of M45 (the Pleiades Cluster).
The central molecular cloud in the frame is cataloged as LBN 777 in Lynds' Bright Nebula Catalog and has a size of approximately 20 arcminutes.
When the eastern side of the photo (the left) is oriented upward, the nebula resembles the head of a bird facing left, leading to its nickname, the "Vulture-Head Nebula".
