with IDAS LPS-V4 Light-pollution suppression filter
Auto-guided with TAKAHASHI JP Equatorial & SBIG STV
Digital Camera: Canon EOS 550D (Remodeled)
Location: Ooizumi, Hokuto city, Yamanashi pref.

Camera Settings: Recording format...14bit CCD-RAW, converted to 16bit TIFF(5184×3456)
CCD Sensitivity...ISO1600



This is another Horse head Nebula image captured wider field than one in previous page. I have picked up only red channel of color image to show you distribution of dimmed nebulosities clearly.
You can see black shadow of the horse head with its head turning right. To be precise, the dark nebula that forms the head of horse has been registered as B33, and a diffused nebula in background has a number of IC434. To say, B33 is thrusting its head into IC434 from the direction of east. And this image tells us that IC434 is spread out toward far west (right in this image) from the Horse head Nebula, the whole of the diffused nebula has a round shape with a diameter of about 2 degrees or so.
