In 2000, the Jupiter and the Saturn are paralleling in Taurus, squeezed between two splendid open clusters of the Pleiades and the Hyades. The Saturn's ring is greatly slanted southward, so you can easily observe the Cassini's division.
An image below shows you wide-angled star field around these two planets. Jupiter and Saturn are glittering with visual magnitude of -2 and 0, respectively. It's one of the most beautiful scenes in night skies of the Millennium's autumn.
