A near Earth asteroid of 1998WT24, discovered by LINEAR project in November 1998, closed to the Earth about 1.8 million kilometers (about five times of distance to the Moon) in Dec 16, 2001. The asteroid ran through the constellation of Auriga with a terrific speed of about 1 degree per hour. I could observe the asteroid as a star image with an apparent brightness of 9th magnitude. This photograph shows you the movement of 1998WT24 for 45 minutes, and indicates you interval marks every 5 minutes.
