On this day, comet Kusida is positioned approximately 11 degrees southwest of the Pleiades (M45), along the border between Aries and Taurus. The brightness of the coma is 10th magnitude, and a tailless bluish-green coma has been observed. The comet is expected to rapidly move eastward from now on, with a forecast indicating it will brighten to the 9th magnitude between February and March 2024.
