On this night, comet 2025R2 SWAN was located 2.2 degrees southwest of α Aquarii in the southern sky before midnight, showing a blue coma of 8th magnitude. Due to the nearby 11-day-aged Moon, its tail extending eastward was barely visible. Although the comet will become easier to observe in the coming days, it is expected to fade rapidly.
