On this day, comet 2025K1 ATLAS was located low in the eastern sky just before the start of dawn, about 8 degrees SSW of β Leonis (Denebola). A 10th-magnitude coma and a dust tail about 15 arcminutes long extending toward the northeast were observed. After reaching a maximum brightness of magnitude 8 in early Oct 2025-when it was unobservable from Earth-the comet is now rapidly fading.
