Optical: VIXEN 20cm(7.9") VISAC with a conversion lens (f=1278mm, F6.4)
with BaaderPlanetarium Moon&Skyglow filter
Auto-guided with TAKAHASHI EM-200 Equatorial
Digital Camera: Canon EOS 600D (Remodeled)
Location: Kujihama, Hitachi city, Ibaraki pref.

Sensitivity...ISO1600


The comet 2013R1 Lovejoy had the closest approach to the earth on the day following this image took. The comet is moving rapidly in the northern skies. In that day the comet has positioned at the hind leg of Ursa Major, I could find it with 4th magnitude in brightness out easily with a portable binocular nevertheless the bright full moon was glittering. This image can show a dimmed dust tail stretched from a huge greenish coma with its diameter of about 10 arc minutes.
