Composed 20 shots with 1min. exposed
Optical: VIXEN 20cm(7.9") VISAC with a conversion lens (f=1278mm, F6.4)
with BaaderPlanetarium Moon&Skyglow filter
Auto-guided with TAKAHASHI EM-200 Equatorial
Digital Camera: Canon EOS 600D (Remodeled)
Location: Kujihama, Hitachi city, Ibaraki pref.

Camera Settings: Recording format...14bit CCD-RAW, converted to 16bit TIFF(5184×3456)
Sensitivity...ISO1600



The comet 2013R1 Lovejoy in that day has positioned at center of Leo Minor. It was moonlit night glittering the moon just before its full moon, it's difficult to capture detailed structures of the comet. The comet has a coma brightness of about 4th or 5th magnitude, clearly detected with a small binocular. This image can show that dimmed dust and ion tails are stretching in west direction.
  The image has been cropped with an equivalent f=1350mm. (View angle: 0.94×0.63°)
