This image shows you the 2009R1 McNaught captured in northeast lower skies of the rainy season of Japan. The comet has been positioned in Perseus, about 7.5 degrees ESE from alpha Persei. This image has captured the V-shaped ion and dust tails, but the coma has a visual brightness of only 5th or 6th magnitude, about 2 mag darker than the prediction. Unfortunately the comet dose not become a naked-eye comet.
