On this day, Comet Hartley 2, designated as 103P, was located approximately 9 degrees northwest of alpha Hydrae (Alphard) in the western part of the constellation. It has become slightly dimmer compared to last month with a coma brightness of 10th magnitude. The faint tail extending towards the west has become somewhat more visible.
