Sh2-301 is a small-diffused nebula bathed in about 6degrees ESE from Sirius. The nebula has an apparent diameter of about 9 arc minutes and a round-shape, we can see some dark lanes in the nebula. Sh2-301 is a nebula emitting H-alpha spectrum, we can see its whitish figure with our naked eyes through telescopes. A distance from the solar system has been estimated about 19 thousand light years.
