This image captures a 2.5×3.0° area around ξ Ori at the center of Orion's raised club. Small Hα nebulae are scattered around this area.
Sh2-268, which is located just south of ξ Ori, is the largest, and has an extent of 30'×12'. To the east of it you can see two smaller ones Sh2-267 and Sh2-269.
Sh2-270 is a reflection nebula with a size of only 1 arc minute, but there is a large, faint Hα nebula without ID numbers around it.
Sh2-271 is a circular reddish diffused nebula with 2 arc minutes in diameter located on the left side of the image.
Actually, its southwestern faint part has been assigned another ID of Sh2-272.
A small open cluster NGC2194 is located 30 minutes north of Sh2-271. About 80 faint stars are included in 10 arc minutes across.
