Sh2-151 is a faint Hα nebula in the westernmost part of Cassiopeia, near the boundary with Cepheus. Among many red nebulae scattered around this region, the nebula is not very conspicuous. It has a shape that extends north and south, and it takes about 20 arc minutes to cross. You can also see very faint and bluish gas components around a 5th magnitude star located 25 minutes west of Sh2-151. The distance to this nebula has been estimated to be approx. 19,000 light-years, although there are variations depending on the literature.
