This image captures faint Hα emission nebulae and dark nebulae in the eastern part of Cygnus, about 7.7 degrees east of the North America Nebula (NGC 7000). The red emission nebula visible on the left, with an apparent diameter of 13 arcminutes, is Sh2-123. Located roughly 12,000 light-years away, it lies on the eastern outskirts of the red nebula complex that extends across northern Cygnus.
A very faint Hα nebula, LBN 407, stretches north-south across the center of the frame, spanning about 2 degrees in length. Between the southern end of LBN 407 and 75 Cygni lies a diffuse dark nebula. Several catalog IDs are assigned to it, the most prominent being B159, which spans approximately 25 arcminutes.
