NGC988 is a small galaxy lying near a border to Eridanus in eastern edge of Cetus. The galaxy has a long axis of a bit larger than 5 arc minutes and barred shape with 11th magnitude in brightness. You can detect a 7th magnitude inner-galactic star being on top of the galaxy.
