NGC6356 is a medium-scaled globular cluster found at 4 degrees southeast of eta Oph. The cluster has an apparent diameter of 10 arc minutes, and classified in fairly concentrated group. You can find a major globular of M9 in Ophiuchus at a degree south west of the cluster.
