It is a small spiral galaxy located approximately 2 degrees southeast of ι Draconis, corresponding to the torso of Dragon. With a major axis of 5 arc minutes, it shows a faint dark lane running through it. Floating at a distance of about 140 million light-years, it forms a small galaxy group with surrounding member galaxies.
