NGC5529 is a medium-sized spiral galaxy positioned at 4 degrees southwest of gamma Bootis. The galaxy has a typical edge-on features with a length of 6 arc minutes and a thickness of only an arc minute. You can detect that the right side of galaxy has a bit bended and a dark lane is twisted. An apparent brightness of the galaxy is about 12th magnitude, you need larger scopes for observation with your eyes.
