These are spiral galaxies floating approximately 1.3 degrees northeast of γVir (Porrima). NGC4666 is on the left side of the image, and NGC4653 is on the right side. NGC4666 is an elongated barred spiral galaxy with a major axis of just under 6 arc minutes and a brightness off 10.7th magnitude. It occupies the core of the galaxy group formed with surrounding member galaxies. NGC4653, somewhat fainter, is a barred spiral galaxy with a diameter of about 3 arc minutes and 12th magnitude. Their distances are estimated to be between 40 to 50 million light-years.
