At the eastern edge of the Crater, you can find out a small galaxy of NGC3981 at the border line with the Corvus.
The galaxy has a shape being elongated in north-south direction and two clear arms stretched, has a long axis of about a bit longer than 5 arc minutes.
Images captured with larger-telescopes can show us that the galaxy has dimmed nebula-like structures surrounding.
NGC3981 is lying at about 80 million light years away and forming a small-scaled galaxy group with the "Antennae" colliding galaxy pair positioned at about 1.5 degrees northeast in Corvus.
