This image shows you a well-proportioned face on galaxy lying at 4 degrees southeast of chi UMa. The galaxy has an apparent diameter and brightness of a bit larger than 5 arc minutes and about 11th magnitude, respectively. You can detect that the clear outer arms of galaxy include some H-alpha regions. NGC3938 belongs to the southern UMa galaxy group, about 50 millions light years away.
